Cape Town, South Africa, 1 June 2021 — ViacomCBS Consumer Products (VCP), Nickelodeon and PUMA have partnered to create the PUMA x Rugrats collection. Bringing back ‘90s nostalgia, the collection combines the oh-so-nice style PUMA is known for with design cues from Rugrats that gives it a retro flare. The collection, which is available from 4 June 2021, is in support of the original Nickelodeon Rugrats series, which is celebrating its 30thanniversary.
PUMA x Rugrats is a seven-piece collection featuring styles for adults and children. Apparel styles, which are only available in adult sizing, include: a Short Sleeve Tee (R999) with the popular animated babies playing on the PUMA logo; a Long Sleeve Tee (R1 199) in Susie Carmichael’s iconic purple and gold pattern from her dress; a Hoodie (R1 499) featuring Reptar and the Pickles’ family dog, Spike, on the front with the Rugrats logo emblazoned on the back; and the Rugrats Short (R1 799) in the iconic green pattern just like Chuckie Finster’s.
The PUMA x RUGRATS gear for adults, which also includes the Court Rider Rugrats (R2 399), will be available from PUMA.com, PUMA Sandton, PUMA Braamfontein, Shesha, Shelflife and The Cross Trainer.
The collection’s footwear styles pay homage to the original Rugrats cartoon with vibrant colours reminiscent of the ‘90s and design elements that incorporate popular characters including the babies’ favorite fictional character: Reptar.
Available from PUMA.com, PUMA Sandton, PUMA Braamfontein, Shesha, Shelflife and The Cross Trainer Kids (XKIDS), the kids’ footwear features the playful Future Rider x Rugrats in Junior (R1 799), Pre-School (R1 299) and Infant (R1 099) sizes and the time-tested PUMA classic Suede x Rugrats in Junior (R1 299), Pre-School (R1 099) and Infant (R999) sizes.
