Cape Town, 21 February 2025 – PUMA and Liberaiders follow the path less travelled, creating an outdoor-inspired collection that embraces the curious desire of Wanderlust.
Last year, PUMA and Liberaiders teamed up for a special-edition Suede, an elevated take on the iconic 1968 silhouette featuring a textured hairy suede upper and elevated details throughout.
Now, PUMA and Liberaiders reprise their creative handshake for a new concept-driven collection that journeys towards a “Destination Unknown.” Crafted for those who run not from the world, but toward their own truth, the partnership is led by two versions of the PUMA GV Special, complemented by an adventure-ready range of packable gear that reinterprets outdoor and military references.
Created in two distinct colourways, the PUMA x Liberaiders GV Special comes with added utility in the form of a durable Cordura upper, paired with a protective mudguard wrapping the upper. Apparel highlights include the stealthy Balaclava Hoodie featuring contrasting panels on the arms and shoulders, plus ample body storage. The Light Jacket and Pants continue the collection’s militaristic design inspiration, with generous cargo pockets and subtle logo hits. A graphic T-Shirt and simple logo T-Shirt complete the PUMA x Liberaiders apparel offerings.
Finally, a technical Backpack comes with a rolltop design and prominent mesh pocket on the exterior, while a tactical Bucket Hat rounds out the accessory range.
Depicted in an accompanying campaign, the collaboration is introduced into a modern city environment, as the protagonist gradually transitions out of the city, following their footsteps toward adventure.
