New York, November 2025 PUMA’s established champions and rising stars excelled at the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon securing top 4 finishes in the women’s and men’s races, as New York City became the heartbeat of the running world. In addition, 29 PUMA Project3 runners set personal bests with 10 improving by more than three minutes.

Fiona O’Keeffe, wearing PUMA’s Deviate NITRO™ Elite 3, made her World Marathon Majors debut as she joined over 50,000 participants at Marathon running’s grandest stage. O’Keeffe finished 4th in the women’s race, her time of 2:22:49 smashed the American woman course record by nearly 2 minutes. Fellow PUMA athlete Annie Frisbie, running in PUMA’s Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3, came home in 2:24:12 to claim 5th.

In the men’s field, PUMA athlete Patrick Dever ran a 2:08:58, finishing 4th overall in his marathon debut, wearing PUMA’s Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3. PUMA Athlete Sondre Moen, sporting PUMA’s Deviate NITRO™ Elite 3, clocked 2:10:15 to finish 8th.

Following standout performances at the Boston and London Marathons earlier this year, PUMA’s Project3 sub-elite runners shaved a combined 1 hour, 27 minutes, and 15 seconds off their personal best times at the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. The Project3 runners all wore PUMA’s fastest innovation yet, the FAST-R NITRO™ ELITE 3.

Mauricio Galvan (2:19:03) finished 21st in the men’s race, knocking 39 seconds off his PB. On the women’s side, Elena Hayday (2:31:22) finished 12th. The standout was Anna Weisman (2:46:59), who obliterated her PB by an astonishing 11 minutes and 2 seconds.

Launched in January, PUMA’s Project3 is a first-of-its-kind global programme offering runners at the 2025 New York City, Boston, and London Marathons the opportunity to experience life as a professional athlete and trial the Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3. The programme is part of PUMA’s brand elevation strategy to strengthen its presence globally and celebrate its “Go Wild” campaign. PUMA’s Project3 programme closed out the 2025 marathon season having supported sub-elite athletes across more than 13 countries, awarding a total of $161,000 in prize money, and achieving 98 PBs including 48 PBs by over 3 minutes. These staggering results reinforce the belief that Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3 is one of the greatest super shoes to ever hit the road.
