Cape Town, 12 May 2026 – PUMA reintroduces the Homura: a defining piece of the brand’s early 2000s running archive.

Defined by its classic aesthetic and vivid colour execution, the Homura leans into a bold, high contrast palette that evokes Y2K road running. Bold colour accents and sharp linework work in interplay across the upper, punctuating the radiant colourway with black contours that overlay the bright orange upper, with yellow and turquoise hits across the silhouette.

First released at the height of the Y2K era, the Homura reflects an experimental chapter in PUMA design. As part of the PUMA Complete franchise, a series of vividly coloured performance runners, the silhouette was developed as a training model featuring targeted midsole cushioning. It debuted alongside the lightweight Fuga under the “Japan Racers” project. A Japanese character stamped on the tongue and footbed, translating to flame or blaze, nods to the shoe’s name as well as the ignition point of the era’s bold approach to performance footwear.

Built on a foundation of performance textiles and running technology like PUMALITE tooling, the Homura channels a distinct visual language shaped by speed, precision, and innovation. Now, the silhouette returns with renewed energy, bringing its function-rooted identity into a modern context.

The PUMA Homura is available from 16 May 2026, from PUMA.com, PUMA Retail stores, Shelflife and Archive.
