Cape Town, 23 March 2026 – Global sports company PUMA is celebrating outstanding performances from its athletes at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships, having secured a mammoth 21 medals across the event in Torun, Poland.

There were statement performances from PUMA athletes including Simon Ehammer who took home gold with a world record points total in the men’s heptathlon (6670 pts); Devynne Charlton who claimed her third 60m hurdle World Indoor Championships title and matched her existing world record (7.65); and in one of the biggest upsets of the weekend, Poland’s Jakub Szymański stormed to victory in the men’s 60m hurdles to pick up the gold medal in front of an ecstatic home crowd.

Italy’s Zaynab Dosso became the first woman ever to win a complete set of 60m World Indoor Championship medals, seeing off stiff competition from reigning Olympic champion and fellow PUMA athlete Julien Alfred – who finished with a bronze medal – to cross the line in first place, adding to her bronze in 2024 and silver in 2025.

It was a dominant display for PUMA athletes in the jumps too, sweeping podiums in both the men’s pole vault and women’s high jump. In the former, Mondo Duplantis secured his fourth World Indoor Championships title, standing on the podium alongside fellow PUMA athletes Emmanouil Karalis (silver) and Kurtis Marschall (bronze). In the women’s high jump, Yaroslava Mahuchikh soared to gold, with Australia’s Nicola Olyslagers and Serbia’s Angelina Topić doing equal jumps and settling for silver. Meanwhile, Leyanís Pérez Hernández and Andy Díaz Hernández both struck gold with commanding performances in the triple jump.
