Cape Town (South Africa), 3 April 2023 – As winter draws near, we look forward to more quality time at home with our favourite cosy comforts. Keeping your feet toasty even on the iciest of days, BIRKENSTOCK introduces a collection of the cosiest home shoes offering comfortable and stylish slippers, and the softest, warm shearling sandals.

The promise of comfort and support has been top of mind for BIRKENSTOCK since 1774. From the soles to the uppers, each stage in the production process is carefully considered and each style is crafted from the highest quality, sustainably sourced materials.

After the incredible success of the BIRKENSTOCK Shearling range in 2022, BIRKENSTOCK is introducing its much-loved Arizona suede style with a soft shearling lining on its footbed. These sandals pair beautifully with socks. The BIRKENSTOCK Suede Shearling (R3599) is available in black, mink, stone coin, pink clay, and purple fog.

Welcoming winter days and nights, the Zermatt slipper is available in new colourways and with a removable footbed, allowing you to choose your ideal insole. The Zermatt is made from soft wool felt and has the original suede footbed. The newest additions to the collection are the Zermatt in beryl and light rose (R1699), and the Zermatt Shearling in ecru (R2399) with a shearling footbed. For the little ones, the Zermatt kids’ slippers are now available in beryl, dark blue, and light grey (R1199).  Worn as is, or styled with socks, these BIRKENSTOCK winter styles with interchangeable footbeds can be worn at home all year-round.

For the first time in South Africa the BIRKENSTOCK Andermatt is finally available. This slipper boot is ankle high and extra cosy, featuring a shearling-lined footbed and a pull tab making it easy to put on and take off. The upper is made from soft wool felt, keeping you snug on the coldest days. This style will be available in anthracite and light grey (R2199) from April.

These winter styles will be available online and at BIRKENSTOCK stores nationwide, with new colours being introduced weekly.
