WHAT: Global sports brand PUMA in collaboration with their partner Aston Martin Red Bull Racing is bringing together F1 star Alex Albon and Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero to compete this Sunday at the F1 Esports Virtual Spanish GP live on F1 YouTube.
Hype continues to build around the Virtual F1 GP with no engines revving up on the courses worldwide due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Spanish GP will be the fifth stop of the Virtual F1 GP which will be broadcasted in more than 30 countries around the world.
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver Alex Albon is in great form having won the latest Virtual GP in Interlagos and is excited to be partnering with Sergio for this weekend’s GP. “I’m really looking forward to teaming up with Sergio this weekend. I think it’s pretty cool that our sports can come together through events like this. Sergio is a goalscoring machine, so hopefully we’re both on target this Sunday when it’s lights out!” said Alex Albon.
Alex will be teaming with Manchester City legend and Argentina striker Sergio Agüero to drive for Aston Martin Red Bull Racing at the virtual Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Sergio loves racing and has been practicing hard all week as he prepares to face off against a host of F1 drivers, sportsmen and celebrities.

- Alex Albon is an F1 driver of PUMA sponsored Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Team. He made his F1 debut with the Toro Rosso team in 2019 before being swiftly promoted to the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team achieving 92 points over the season. His best result to date was a fourth-place finish in Japan.
- Sergio Agüero is a PUMA football player and one of the world’s best strikers. Sergio is a Manchester City legend and current Argentinian International. Sergio has four Premier League titles, an Olympic Gold medal and the 2014/15 golden boot award to add to his impressive achievements over the course of his career.
